Expert Consulted:  Adrian Gardiner. Years of experience buying both computers and computer parts for my own new customer builds has given me a keen eye for spotting great deals when shopping.  In this article, I’ll be sharing my knowledge to help you find the best 240hz monitor.

240Hz monitors are becoming increasingly popular amongst gamers due to their ability to provide beautifully smooth and seamless gameplay.

A refresh rate of 240Hz effectively means the monitor can display up to 240 frames a second, resulting in a smoother and more responsive gaming experience. This benefit is particularly noticeable in fast-paced games where quick reflexes make all the difference.

You can find 240Hz monitors in a range of different configurations, from 24″ to 27″, and even larger in screen size and resolutions of 1080p, 1440p, or 4K, depending on how much space you have and whether the specification of your PC is able to extract the most performance out of your monitor.

Popular monitor sizes range from 24″ to 27″; 24″ screens are better for first-person shooter games where you can take in more of the screen without having to move your head around too much and miss some of the action.

27″ (and larger) screens are often preferred by gamers playing more immersive adventure-type games where the larger size of the screen is more suited, making it easier to see more detail and a wider field of view.

However, 1440p monitors are becoming increasingly popular with an increase in the availability of affordable options.

Before Buying Your Monitor – Checklist

When looking to buy your monitor, it’s worth noting the following:

  • Cable Ports – carefully check that the graphics port(s) on your computer match with your selected monitor, i.e., if you have an HDMI graphics port on your PC, make sure your new monitor has the same type of port.
  • Measure Up – if the designated location for your new monitor is cramped in any way, it’s worth measuring to make sure you have enough space.
  • Budget – decide on a spending budget before you start looking, or you may end up spending a lot more than anticipated – it’s so easy to get carried away when looking at cool new equipment.
  • Delivery Charges – check carefully to see what the delivery costs will be – can you pick up your new monitor, for example, and save on delivery charges?
  • Warranty – Check to see what the warranty is and whether it’s worth extending.

Final Thoughts

There’s a huge amount of choice available on the market today for monitors of every possible configuration, it seems, including refresh rates, as addressed in this article.

Research revealed that you can now purchase 360Hz monitors for similar money to 240Hz units, making it even harder to decide.

In order to help with this, I provided a comprehensive selection of 24 and 27″ monitors with options at 240 and 360Hz, covering all the key features.

I also added a gorgeous 32″ curved, 4K. 240Hz monitor just to cover as many angles as possible. – providing something for everyone, hopefully.

All monitors covered in this article represent great value and would make a fine addition to anyone’s gaming setup.
