The Best White PC Case (5 Reviewed & Ranked for 2023)

Expert Consulted: Adrian Gardiner. Years of experience building computers both for general use and for gaming has given me useful knowledge on what to look for and the pitfalls to avoid.  In this article, I hope to help you find the best white PC case for your new gaming system.

Choosing a gaming case for your new PC is easy if you don’t mind the color black, but black is boring. White, on the other hand, looks cool and modern, and I think it has a sophisticated air about it.

Finding the right gaming case in white is not so easy as the choice is more limited, and the costs tend to be higher, especially if you want to match the white exterior with white internals.

I’ve built many gaming computers, including a few in white, so I have a pretty reasonable idea of what works and what doesn’t.

My article covers 5 excellent white PC cases for you to use with the confidence that you have both quality and value in your purchase and a case you can work with.

The Best White PC Case – 5 Reviewed & Ranked (2023)

My 5 best white PC Case choices, listed in order of ranking, are based on what is needed to put together a high-quality system, taking into account the current top-end PC components most likely to be used.

I allow for the quality of the fit and finish so you don’t cut your hands and fingers on poor-quality cases with sharp edges. Also, plenty of space for all the parts you may need, like a large graphics card, a tall CPU fan, radiator cooling, extra cooling fans, and great ventilation.

After working with a few poor quality (but expensive!) cases over the years, I now know which brands to avoid and which to recommend.

It’s by no accident, therefore, that I have included 3 Fractal Design cases, a well-respected brand with lots of choices and high-quality products. Having used Fractal cases in my own builds, I can vouch for their quality.

No. 1 Fractal Design North Chalk White – Best All Round Case

My top pick, the Fractal North case, is a masterpiece of elegant design, very different from anything else out there and gorgeous to look at.

With an open front grill made from real walnut or oak panels, the quality is amazing, and it has the spec to cater to pretty much any requirement you care to throw at it.

The best case, I think, that I’ve come across so far. I’ll be using this case soon for my next gaming system build.

Pros

  • It’s gorgeous to look at! You’ll never tire of looking at it
  • Excellent quality fit and finish.

Cons

No. 5 Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact White

Another quality Fractal Design case, the Meshify 2, and one which I’ve used myself in several builds, the latest of which was the black version I completed a few weeks ago.

I love building systems with these cases – they’re so easy to work with.

Sleek styling, excellent build quality, great cooling options with neat and easy-to-use cable management – a no-brainer for system builders.

Specification:

  • Case Size: Mid-Tower ATX
  • Max GPU Length: 341 mm (360 without fan)
  • Max PSU Length: 200 mm (165 mm with HDD cage & front fan)
  • Max CPU Cooler Height: 169 mm

  • Weight: 9.3 kg

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • I love the easy removal of the various panels, especially the top panel – no screws anywhere.

Cons

  • The only minor gripe I can mention is that the cable access hole for the main board power cables, usually situated in the top left, is a bit small and fiddly to access, especially if you’ve fitted a large CPU cooling fan, giving you limited access.

Conclusion

A very versatile, deceptively spacious, and feature-packed case with excellent cooling options all housed in a great looking package.

Choosing Your Case – A Buyers Guide

When looking for a new case, based on my own experiences, I would recommend the following:

  1. PC Components: Before selecting your case, first choose the PC components that you’ll be installing in your case, like CPU, CPU cooler (some CPUs can run very hot and require extra cooling, and some air coolers are huge), Graphics Card (it may be too long for some cases). Knowing these details first enables you to select the right case for the job.
  2. Branded Cases: Go for a branded, well-known case maker wherever possible. It will save you grief in the long run with better support and an easier job putting everything together.
  3. Online Reviews: Read as many online reviews as you can for your selected case to ensure there are no hidden potential issues that others have encountered
  4. Substandard Cases: Watch out for those amazing-looking cases from unknown manufacturers – you’ll likely get minimal support and have to deal with poor-quality materials, fit, and finish. I’ve seen and had to work with many substandard cases with razor-sharp edges everywhere in the case, resulting in lots of cuts – not nice!
  5. Case Location: Lastly, I would just check that the case you’ve chosen will fit where you want it to go. I heard of people building a complete system in a new case, and only at the very last minute do they realize it won’t fit in the designated space!!

Final Thoughts

All of the 5 cases reviewed are of high-quality construction and easy to work with, including all the features you’re likely to need in a cool, gaming PC build.

However, for me, the standout case has to be the Fractal Design North Chalk White – it has exceptional build quality and a unique, timeless, elegant look to it like nothing else currently on the market.
