Best 5 Unique Gaming PC Cases (Researched & Reviewed)

My 5 best Unique Gaming PC Cases are listed in order of ranking and are based not just on looks, but I’ve also tried where possible to choose cases with quality in mind too.

Some cases look great but have quality issues, so I’ve tried to avoid those that have obvious problems or have been flagged up by other users.

No. 1 Azza CSAZ-802F

The AZZA CSAZ-802F is a clever way to display a cube-shaped computer case with its integrated stand.

As is usual for AZZA, the quality is great, with nice touches like a dual chamber design separating out the PSU from the motherboard and its components, thereby helping with cooling.

The case comes with RGB accent lighting and 3 tempered glass panels, enabling you to show off the carefully assembled interior, including any fitted RGB fans.

Some users have reported issues with RGB light synchronization, which is not impossible, just fiddly.

All in all, it is a very nice and unique case.

  • Case Form Factor: Mid Tower ATX
  • Motherboard Support: Mini-ITX, Micro ATX, ATX
  • Max GPU Length: 320 mm

  • Can be tricky to synchronize all RGB fan lighting
  • If you plan on using a 2.5″ format SSD, fit it before installing the motherboard
  • Expensive.

Conclusion

A very versatile, deceptively spacious, and feature-packed case with excellent cooling options, all housed in a great-looking package.

No. 2 AZZA CSAZ-807 Overdrive

The AZZA CSAZ-807 is, for me, simply jaw-dropping and not what you expect at all from a computer case!

It’s hard to describe something so unusual as this, and I can only say that AZZA designers must have had great fun producing this fabulous case.

Cooling options are massive, with support for fans and radiators all over the place; couple that with its open design style, and let’s just say your PC is going to have no trouble keeping temperatures down.

However, it’s worth noting that some users have reported that assembly and cabling can be tricky due to the complex design.

Not wanting to be outdone by the competition in such a crowded marketplace, JONSBO has produced a truly wonderful-looking Gaming PC Case with the JONSBO MOD5 – they clearly have some great designers and engineers on board.

Choosing Your Case – A Buyers Guide

When looking for a new case, based on my own experiences, I would recommend the following:

  1. PC Components: Before selecting your case, first choose the PC components that you’ll be installing in your case, like CPU, CPU cooler (some CPUs can run very hot (especially if they’ve been overclocked) and require extra cooling and some air coolers are very large, mostly in height, Graphics Card (it may be too long for some cases). Knowing these details first enables you to select the right case for the job
  2. Branded Cases: Go for a branded, well-known case supplier if you can. It’ll save you problems down the road with likely improved support and a more enjoyable experience assembling your system
  3. Online Reviews: Read as many online reviews from other users as you can for your chosen case to make sure there are no hidden potential problems that other people have come across
  4. Substandard Cases: Be careful when considering those cool-looking cases from unknown manufacturers – you may find limited support and often have to deal with lower-quality materials, fit, and finish. I’ve seen and had to work with many poor quality cases with sharp edges everywhere in the case, resulting in lots of skin plasters!
  5. Case Location: Finally, I’d just check that the case you want will actually fit where you want it to go. I often hear of people putting together a complete gaming PC in a new case and only at the very last minute do they realize it’s too big to go in the allotted space!!

Conclusion

There are a lot of crazy-looking cases out there, many of which look like a nightmare to work with.

The selection I’ve provided here, I think, looks great and should be mostly reasonable to include in a PC build without too much tearing out of hair!

A unique and cool case for your gaming pc build is definitely possible; just expect it to cost more than your standard case.

I love all these amazing cases, but my personal favorite, the Antec Torque, is about as unique a case as you can get, comes from a well-known reputable brand, has great build quality, and shouldn’t be too challenging to assemble.

It’s also highly regarded by other users, which gives me confidence.

I reckon it’ll look fabulous in any gaming PC setup.
